What began as a way to support family through a challenging season of life has grown into a unique Treasure Valley business.
Located in Wilder, ZOCS Fresh Fish and Rocks was founded by Zach Parks and his family while serving as full-time caregivers for Zach's parents after both were diagnosed with cancer.
True to its family roots, ZOCS takes its name from the first initials-- Zach, Olive, Chelsea, and Saia--the family members who make the business possible.
Zach began raising fish at just ten years old and later earned a degree in Aquaculture. Zach’s career has taken him across the “west rearing fish for various farms and agencies most recently trout for Utah Division Natural Resources.”
Today, the business offers, what they believe is, the Treasure Valley's “only source for fresh live fish intended for consumption.” In addition to fresh fish, the family enjoys creating cabochons for jewelry and other lapidary art.
When asked what they love most about doing business in the Treasure Valley, ZOCS responded, “The friendly customers we meet are the best!”
Looking ahead, ZOCS Fresh Fish and Rocks hopes to “offer a larger variety of fish for our customers.”

What inspired the name of your business?
ZOCS is a family busness and wanted to incorporate that into the name. So we took the first initial in our names to create ZOCS. ~Zach Olive Chelsea and Saia~
How did your business get started?
ZOCS Fresh Fish and Rocks was spawned as a way to be financially stable while being fulltime caregivers to Zach's parents whom were diagnosed with cancer at the same time. Zach was born and raised in the Treasure Valley, where he began rearing fish at the young age of ten. He received degrees in aquaculture (fish farmimg) and has bounced around the west rearing fish for various farms and agencies most recently trout for Utah Division Natural Resources.
What makes your products/service unique or meaningful to you and your customers?
To our knowledge we are the only source for fresh live fish for consumption in the Treasure Valley.
What do you love most about having your business in the Treasure Valley?
