We are a dedicated gluten & dairy free cottage bakery, best known for our sourdough and soft sandwich breads, and variety of pastries! We are a small, growing farm out in Wilder offering duck and chicken eggs and produce.
We wanted to pay tribute to our new roots in Wilder, being on acerage and the idea of farming on our own property was very exiting for us, and “Wild Acres” was born!
In early 2023, Kelly had learned of her food allergies that were causing systemic inflammation within her just 2 weeks before her birthday. One of her first immediate thoughts staring at the newfound and daunting list of allergies was "am I even going to have a birthday cake for myself in 2 weeks?..."
Unfortunately, there were no bakers where we lived that were able to accommodate her restrictions. Out of necessity, Kelly was determined to make her own cake! After many tears, and truly awful cakes, she landed on a recipe that we still enjoy to this day!
Since then, Kelly began relearning how to bake and cook, accommodating for multiple food allergies. What seemed like the very end of her deep-rooted love for baking and cooking became the very beginning of a journey to master the art of "free from" baking.
Fast forward to late 2024, We picked up our family and moved to the beautiful state of Idaho in search of a better life and strong community, and we found it here in the Treasure Valley!
We broke ground on our farm in 2025 with our first flock of ducks, a garden that was fruitful with lettuce but in need of much soil improvement, and started our allergy conscious baking endeavor, and Wild Acres LLC Family Farm and Bakery was born!
Our customers love our GF & DF soft sandwich bread, we frequently are told that its “the best gluten free bread I’ve ever had” Its hard for us to keep in stock! We recently invested in a brand new commercial oven to help with production but keep our standard high for allergy friendliness. We also have lots of repeat customers for our duck eggs!
To this day I think our GF & DF cakes are my favorite, They can be so simple or all dolled up and sophisticated flavor and design wise, you can never go wrong with a great cake!
Our cottage bakery is a safe space for our customers who struggle with celiac or multiple food allergens, We make it a goal to always have something for everyone! We understand personally the feeling of being left out because you cant find something you can eat without getting sick.
The Treasure valley really is a strong community of amazing people, all from different areas and walks of life. Everyone is so welcoming, the people are different here, in the best way possible!
We are looking into having a commercial kitchen on our property to sell our baked goods at a commercial scale eventually, We are also excited to expand the infrastructure on our farm to have a variety of fruit trees, and possibly have our own pigs and cows soon!
