Made In The Valley Magazine is a new, community magazine that features all things Idaho. We highlight Idaho's great cities, businesses, activities, and awesome people. We started this magazine in January 2026 in Kuna. Our magazine is free to the community--and hosts a free directory for the local small businesses in Idaho.

One Valley at a Time: Portneuf Valley
Situated along the winding ways of the 124-mile-long Portneuf River, the Portneuf Valley is nestled between mountain ranges in Southeastern Idaho–the Portneuf Range (with peaks rising above 9,000 feet high) to the east and the Bannock Range (to the west stretching to Utah). The valley floor has an average elevation of around 4,500 feet, and is shaped by the faulting and folding of the Idaho-Wyoming thrust belt.
